Velo3D Strengthens Technology and Operations Leadership to Advance Production at Scale

Vic Fryzel and Robert Purnell bring complementary expertise in platform performance and manufacturing execution at Forge 1

FREMONT, Calif., Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Velo3D, Inc. (Nasdaq: VELO), a metal 3D printing technology company that enables customers to build mission-critical metal parts, today announced that Vic Fryzel has joined as Executive Vice President, Technology, and Robert Purnell as Senior Director, Operations. Together, they strengthen the technology and operational leadership supporting production at Forge 1, Velo3D's Livermore Production Campus in California.

Fryzel brings more than 20 years of experience building and scaling complex hardware and software systems at Carbon, Meta, Lyft and Google. At Velo3D, he oversees the technology roadmap across hardware, software, materials, automation, process engineering, data and artificial intelligence.

At Forge 1, he leads the teams and operating systems responsible for safety, quality and delivery performance.
