ATLANTA, Sept. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Venetia Partners LLC announces Mr. Philip R. Martens as a member of the company's Advisory Board.

Mr. Martens serves as Chairman of the Board for Graphic Packaging Holding Company. He also serves on the board of directors of Plexus Corporation and Make-A-Wish Georgia. Previously, Mr. Martens was President and Chief Executive Officer of Novelis Inc., a rolled aluminum manufacturing company, where he served in this capacity from 2009 to 2015. Prior to Novelis, Mr. Martens served as Senior Vice President and President of Light Vehicle Systems (LVS) at ArvinMeritor Inc., a distributor for engine and transmission parts, and President and CEO of Arvin Innovation Inc, a leading global provider of dynamic motion and control automotive systems. Mr. Martens also served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Plastech Engineered Products. From 1987 to 2005, he held various engineering and leadership positions at Ford Motor Company, the most recent serving as group Vice President of Product Creation.
In addition, Mr. Martens is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Woodruff Arts Center in Atlanta and had chaired the Center's global fundraising committee. He is also a Trustee of Manufacturers Alliance/ MAPI, Inc. He has extensive experience in international operations and business in Europe, South America and Asia. Mr. Martens earned an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute/University. In 2003 Mr. Martens was awarded an honorary Doctorate in Engineering from Lawrence Technological Institute for his extensive contributions to the global automotive industry.
