Verizon Wireless Announces Major Illinois Hiring Effort

The company is actively hiring 169 positions statewide to fuel its continued growth

SPRINGFIELD, Ill., March 31, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Wireless is adding 169 full-time positions before the end of June in the state of Illinois. The positions will be based across state and interested candidates may apply online by visiting the Verizon Wireless website at

The new positions offer competitive salaries and benefits, including health care coverage that begins on the first day of employment, and participation in the company's 401 (k) program with a dollar-for-dollar match of up to six percent of an employee's salary contribution.

Verizon, which employs approximately 2700 people across the state of Illinois, offers tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance and bonuses. The company promotes work/life balance by offering lactation rooms for new mothers, on-site college courses, tutoring services, dining facilities and an Employee Assistance Program.
