Versa Networks Announces Integration With Microsoft Virtual WAN To Simplify And Automate Branch Office And Cloud Connectivity
SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 22, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Versa Networks, innovator of the Versa Secure Cloud IP software platform, today announced that it has partnered with Microsoft to deliver automated, simple and software-defined orchestration of secure connectivity from the branch to cloud-based Microsoft Azure Virtual WAN.
Utilizing Versa Secure SD-WAN from the Versa Secure Cloud IP Platform as on-premise branch solution, this collaboration enables customers who have business applications (cloud workloads) in Microsoft Azure to gain optimized connectivity to them by providing cloud workloads close to the users. Additionally, it enables dynamic, secure branch-to-branch and branch-to-Azure secure connectivity with SD-WAN application-aware intelligent traffic steering across the Microsoft global backbone, which has more than 130 edge sites worldwide.
Microsoft Azure Virtual WAN (vWAN) is a new network service offering from Microsoft that simplifies deployment of highly secure and global scale optimized branch connectivity across the Microsoft network. This service provides optimized fast-path routing between on-premises, virtual appliances and Azure hosted workloads with secure connectivity using automated IPsec tunnels. Enterprises can now leverage and utilize the Microsoft-powered backbone for optimized and secure connectivity across a virtual WAN.
