Vertica Strengthens Management Team With New Marketing Executive Hire
Former Ounce Labs' CMO Jennifer Sullivan will expand company's global marketing efforts
BILLERICA, Mass., June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Vertica, the leading provider of next generation analytic database software, announced the appointment of Jennifer Sullivan to the position of Vice President, Marketing. Sullivan brings more than 19 years of broad marketing experience and will be responsible for driving Vertica's worldwide marketing strategy.

Sullivan joins Vertica from Ounce Labs where she served as Chief Marketing Officer, leading corporate branding and go-to-market strategies, and working on the successful acquisition of Ounce by IBM in 2009 after which she worked as part of their integration team. Prior to Ounce Labs, Jennifer served as Vice President, Demand Generation at Plateau Systems where she drove lead generation efforts with a focus on expanding market engagement in Plateau's unified Talent Management suite. From 2000 through 2007, Sullivan served as Senior Director for Marketing, Inside Sales and Operations for Unica Corporation, where her team delivered 50 percent of the company's core enterprise marketing management business and 80 percent of its then newly acquired web analytics business. Earlier in her career, Sullivan held several senior business development and marketing positions at RSA Security, iMarket and Epsilon.
