Veterans Day Virtual Career Fair
Veterans and Military Spouses connect live with employers online to explore job opportunities
PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Each year on November 11th, the Nation pauses to give special thanks to the men and women who have worn the Nation's uniform. No group has given more to protect our freedoms and way of life, and it is only right that we show our gratitude every day, not just on Veterans Day.
Veteran Recruiting and dozens of America's most veteran friendly employers will host the Veterans Day virtual career fair for the third straight year on November 11th from 1-4 PM EST.
"Since September 2011, our employer partners have hired more than 37,000 veterans and military spouses, and it is events like our Veterans Day virtual career fair, that will help us make our goal of at least 50,000 additional hires a reality by 2018. We are honored and proud to serve those who have served" Said Kevin O'Brien, Managing Partner, Veteran Recruiting
More than 50 of America's leading companies, and over 28,000 veterans and military spouses are registered to attend. The virtual career fair allows employers, veterans, and military spouses to connect in real time, and from anywhere they are located with a computer and internet connection. In essence, Veteran Recruiting brings the career fair to them.
The virtual career fair is open all the time, and the employer booths are always accessible. When a veteran or spouse registers, they can complete a profile, research employers, chat with recruiters, and view and apply for jobs. In addition, a calendar advertises when employers will be online, and available to chat with job seekers.
