Vibra Healthcare Announces the Acquisition of Progressive Healthcare
Leader in medical rehabilitation and long term acute care hospitals purchases Progressive Specialty Hospitals
MECHANICSBURG, Pa., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Vibra Healthcare, a national operator of specialty hospitals and outpatient physical therapy centers announced today that it has acquired Progressive Healthcare's specialty hospitals. The four critical acute care hospitals are located in Indiana and Ohio totaling 118 beds. Two of the hospitals are located in Fort Wayne and Crown Point, Indiana and will be known as Vibra Hospital of Fort Wayne and Vibra Hospital of Northwestern Indiana. The Ohio hospitals will be known as Vibra Hospital of Mahoning Valley located in Boardman and Vibra Hospital of Mahoning Valley Trumbull Campus located in Warren.
Long Term Acute Care Hospitals (LTACHs) provide specialized acute and medical rehabilitative care to medically complex patients. LTACH patients are critically ill and/or have multi-system failures that require extended acute care treatment after discharge from a traditional acute care hospital, typically from the intensive care unit.
