Victorino Noval Picks Up James Franco's "WRONG NUMBER"
PARK CITY, Utah, Jan. 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Sundance Film Festival -- Edward Bass has announced a six picture deal with James Franco's Rabbit Bandini Productions and Victorino Noval Productions. The first venture is a project written by and stars Abigail Spencer, of "MAD MEN." The Hollywood Reporter states she "Met Franco while shooting, OZ: THE GREAT AND POWERFUL, and told him about the personal story."
This will be the first of a six film deal between Victorino Noval Productions, Franco and his Rabbit Bandini Productions partners, Vince Jolivette, Miles Levy and Edward Bass Films. "Noval is banking on experience, There are no newcomers here; just seasoned film industry veterans," says Jolivette. "With of course, the vital contribution of NYU students who bring young fresh ideas to the projects under the tutelage of James."
The Victorino Noval Foundation has been generous in its endowment of $25 million and is seeking $25 million in matching funds to be used exclusively to work with projects with the universities. He looks forward to seeing a film collaboration between American and Cuban students to be shot in Noval's native Cuba. Victorino's father was a revolutionary, fighting the communist movement in Cuba. Victorino's motto is one of forgiveness and moving forward towards the highest good. In order to further his father's goal of Free Trade with Cuba, Victorino has befriended Raul Castro.
The Victorino Noval Foundation's diversified efforts include the Spark of Love Toy Drive for kids in foster care with an extensive list of philanthropic undertakings.
Among Noval's other social endeavors, he is currently working with Jose Conseco at his son's Little League team to warn kids of the danger of steroids. Noval believes in second chances, so when Jose came out about his steroid use in his book, Victorino was there to stand by his friend's side and support him. Noval is also working with Margaret Luce on bringing the real life story of America's most notorious female serial killer "Belle Gunness" to theater.
His three sons have joined the family business so he can focus on global humanitarian and creative works.
