Video Safety Market Leader Lytx® Pronounces 2015 as the Year Video Went Mainstream

SAN DIEGO, Feb. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Video-based safety systems, once a novelty, then the hallmark of an elite fleet, rapidly ascended in 2015 into a commercial fleet must-have, according to Lytx^®, Inc., the global leader in video-based driver safety. Among the indicators, Lytx points to its own 2015 growth, with a year-over-year increase in purchased subscriptions of nearly 80 percent.  

Lytx added 365 new clients and more than 100,000 new subscriptions in 2015. Given that Lytx has an estimated 66 percent market share, as reported by Frost & Sullivan, the company growth points to a deeper penetration across all transportation segments—from for-hire trucking and construction to transit, services, and government.

Another Lytx milestone driving growth this year was the introduction of the new ActiveVision service to tackle distracted and drowsy driving.
