Village Realty Announces Winner in Our State Magazine OBX Getaway Contest

This year, Nancy Hedrick, resident of the Research Triangle area, was the lucky winner of the prize package that not only included luxury accommodations, but also a $100 gift certificate at a local restaurant, and a free round of golf for two at The Currituck Club. Hedrick was joined by five of her family members and a friend; two travelers journeying from as far away as Atlanta, GA.

Hedrick and guests were blessed with a fair weather week, filled with sunshine and cool breezes, and so much to do, inside the house as well as out. "It's been so nice!" Hedrick stated. "We've been out on the beach taking some walks and a 4-wheel drive up on the north end, where we got to see three wild horses. That was a lot of fun!" she recalled, adding, "And we've really enjoyed the house – especially the hot tub and pool. The kids have used the bicycles to explore many times. The house was very comfortable and roomy; and had two living rooms, so everyone had plenty of space." Much of the guests' time was spent taking in the view on the top deck, where they could relish the breeze, scenery and sights crossing the water. Hedrick recalled an evening on the deck when her husband roasted hamburgers and red peppers on the grill with everyone listening to music while capturing countless photos of the gorgeous sunset – and another evening when the sunset was served with a double-rainbow on the side.

After a week well spent, Hedrick reflects on the experience, expressing gratitude for the professionalism and service they received. While this is not Hedrick's first time entering an Our State contest, it is her first time winning.
