Virtium Expands Executive Management Team with Three New Strategic Marketing, Sales and Engineering Positions

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calif., March 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Virtium, a leading provider of embedded SSD and industrial memory modules, today announced that Scott Phillips, Anthony Swiney and Wesley Walston have joined the company as director of marketing, director of program management and inside sales and director of engineering respectively.  All memory and storage industry veterans, Phillips, Swiney and Walston bring extensive technology and industry experience in OEM and industrial markets to help Virtium expand and support its rapidly growing global customer base. 

In his new role, Phillips is charged with executing Virtium's marketing strategies and overseeing business development activities to further facilitate growth.  Phillips has more than 20 years of experience working with many of the industry's largest, multinational technology OEMs. 

A specialist in sales process optimization and program automation, Swiney is responsible for enhancing Virtium sales infrastructure and building a world-class inside sales organization that efficiently supports its assertive sales growth goals.  Swiney joins Virtium with 18 years of sales experience in the embedded and enterprise OEM data storage markets. 

As director of engineering, Walston will help lead the company's engineering team on future technology and product advancements maintaining Virtium's reputation for the highest quality and reliability products. Walston brings a wealth of technical, patent and business experience from his more than 20 years in high technology.
