Virtual Imaging, a Canon Company, Celebrates 300 RadPRO® SecurPASS® Security Screening Systems Sold

MELVILLE, N.Y., Sept. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Virtual Imaging, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., Inc., has announced that the Company, either directly or indirectly through its authorized dealers, has sold the 300^th unit of the RadPRO¹ SecurPASS Full Body Security Screening System.² Finding a home in jails and prisons, the RadPRO SecurPASS System helps scan individuals to detect a wide range of dangerous and illegal substances while minimizing the need for physical searches. The 300^th unit was sold to Clay County Jail in Manchester, Kentucky.

The RadPRO SecurPASS System is able to detect contraband both inside and on the body in certain high- security environments, including jails, prisons border crossings and government facilities. This System uses a low-dose X-ray scanning system that can detect many types of dangerous or illegal substances, such as liquid explosives, drugs, copper wires and plastics.  Based on unique patented technology, the RadPRO SecurPASS System is able to scan prosthetics to identify hidden narcotics, weapons and other dangerous contraband.
