Virtual PBX Raises $10,000 for Best Buddies International
SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Virtual PBX, the pioneer and leader in hosted PBX phone systems, teamed up with SipRoutes, Applied Physics Systems and Magnolia Behavioral Therapy to recruit six people to participate in the 10th Anniversary Best Buddies Challenge: Hearst Castle and raise nearly $10,000 for Best Buddies International.

Best Buddies International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

The Virtual PBX team joined more than 1,500 people on September 7, 2013, who walked, ran and rode bicycles in the 10th Anniversary Best Buddies Challenge: Hearst Castle, a 100-mile cycling fundraiser from Carmel to San Simeon with 62, 30 and 15-mile options. The Challenge was open to people of all ages and abilities, and included celebrity tandem races, a 5K run/walk led by Carl Lewis and a barbeque and concert by Don Felder, formerly of the Eagles, at the Hearst Ranch.
