Vision Films Acquires Oscar® Winner Mikey Madison's Debut Feature Film 'Liza, Liza, Skies Are Grey' New Director's Cut From Two-Time Oscar® Winner Terry Sanders
LOS ANGELES, March 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- After first releasing Liza, Liza, Skies Are Grey to VOD in 2017, Vision Films has now acquired the rights to two-time Academy Award® winner Terry Sanders' Liza, Liza, Skies Are Grey, The Director's Cut starring Mikey Madison in the title role. This was Madison's screen debut at age 15; she recently won the Oscar® for Best Actress in the critically acclaimed and award-winning film Anora.

In the turbulent summer of 1966, a year of the draft and the war in Vietnam, civil rights confrontations, the beginnings of the Sexual Revolution, and living in the shadow of the atomic bomb, 15-year-old Liza and her 16-year-old boyfriend Brett set off on an eventful four-day motorcycle trip up the California coast. Almost everything gets in the way and goes wrong for the two runaways in this touching, bittersweet, and very real love story.
