VPS designated its Fairfax, VA office address as corporate headquarters effective Feb 1, 2017. The Software Engineering team, based in Blacksburg, VA since the founding of the company relocated to Roanoke as its base of operations. "As VT alumni, we are eager to maintain our connection to the Virginia Tech community for recruiting and collaboration with local technology companies." said Yong Lee, CEO. With increasing growth in the DC metro area and other areas nationwide including North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and California, VPS is aligning its office locations to better serve its customers. VPS also has an office in Dumfries, VA and is planning a new office opening in Reston, VA this spring.
VPS was awarded new contracts in the Washington, DC area in 2016, highlighted by a new five year contract with the US Department of the Navy, Naval Surface Warfare Center http://gov.visionpointsystems.com/task-orders-received-to-date/.
Over the course of 2016, VPS grew from 54 employees to 84 by year's end, and expects continued growth going forward.
VPS continues to strengthen its partnerships as well. For government services, VPS augments its position as a prime contractor with strategic partnerships that enhance VPS' ability to deliver expert services related to corrosion and materials engineering. For software services, VPS' partnership with Appian allows VPS to deliver BPM solutions to large enterprise and government entities.
