
Vision Systems International, LLC, Receives Silver Boeing Performance Excellence Award
SAN JOSE, Calif., June 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Vision Systems International, LLC (VSI), the only combat proven helmet mounted display provider, accepted the Silver Boeing Performance Excellence Award for the 3rd consecutive time today. The Boeing Company issues the award annually to recognize suppliers who have achieved superior performance. VSI maintained a silver performance composite performance rating for each month of the 12 month performance period, from Oct. 1, 2010, to Sept. 30, 2011.
This year, Boeing recognized 558 suppliers who achieved either a Gold or Silver level Boeing Performance Excellence Award. VSI is among 417 suppliers to receive the Silver level of recognition.

VSI is currently supplying the Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System (JHMCS) to Boeing under the Full Rate Production (FRP) Lot 6 contract. The system has been operational in the F/A-18, F-15 and F-16 since 2002 and is combat proven. The JHMCS provides the pilot with "first look, first shot" high off-boresight weapons engagement. Critical information and symbology, such as targeting cues and aircraft performance parameters, are graphically displayed directly on the pilot's visor.
