Vivify Health Awarded Patent for Extending Remote Care to Your Television

PLANO, Texas, Sept. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Vivify Health, the pioneer and market leader of remote care via mobile devices, has been awarded a patent for its methods of engaging and monitoring healthcare consumers through their existing televisions. The patent, US9357238B2, is the first awarded among six highly innovative digital health patents submitted by Vivify Health. This patent further expands the capabilities of the Vivify Pathways platform to utilize the largest screen in a patient's home, in addition to Vivify's existing Managed Kit, BYOD and IVR solutions.

Vivify was founded in 2009, with televisions intended as a core consumer experience from the very beginning.  Since that time, Vivify has presented various television experiences at events such as HIMSS and American Telemedicine Association. These demonstrations have showcased how patients of any age can easily accomplish a remote care session through their television using a basic remote control, and incorporating wireless biometric devices, health surveys, educational videos and virtual visits with their providers.
