Voice over LTE and IP Multimedia Subsystem Spending to Continue, Forecasts Dell'Oro Group

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., July 31, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Dell'Oro Group, the trusted source for information about the networking and telecommunications industries, reported that spending in voice core key growth segments LTE and IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) Core, will continue to increase over the next five years.  The upgrade cycle that is beginning to take place is occurring because Voice over LTE services are entering the commercial deployment phase.  Amid these segment shifts, service provider voice core equipment spending over the next five years is expected to remain relatively constant at nearly $6 billion per year.
