Von Maur Department Store Opens Third Location in Georgia

DAVENPORT, Iowa, Sept. 17, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Von Maur Department Stores announced today the opening of its newest location. Located at the Mall of Georgia in Buford, Ga., the 165,000-square-foot store is the Company's third location in Georgia.

Known for its outstanding selection of brand name and specialty apparel, shoes, accessories and gifts, the store will feature products from leading brands such as Brahmin, Lagos, Southern Tide, Bobbi Brown, and Joseph Ribkoff, among many others. Von Maur is also widely-regarded for its superior customer service, including an interest-free charge card, liberal return policy, free gift wrapping and shipping services.

Today's opening continues the family-owned company's strategic national expansion plans. After expanding beyond its Midwestern footprint in 2011 with the opening of its first Atlanta location, Von Maur has since grown in additional new states including New York, Alabama, Oklahoma, and will open its first Wisconsin location in spring 2017.

Conveniently located off I-85 at one of the largest malls in the South, Von Maur will serve as an anchor tenant at the Mall of Georgia and cater to the active shoppers that visit the mall's vibrant retail and entertainment establishments. Located between Belk and Dick's Sporting Goods, the two-level Von Maur store received a complete renovation to feature the Company's signature residential ambiance, complete with antiques, original artwork, open-floor plan and music from the store's grand piano. Partnering with local subcontractors, Von Maur created approximately 230 jobs over the course of the renovation.

The Mall of Georgia store will eventually employ up to 200 associates; the majority of them will be full-time. Von Maur offers above-market wages, excellent benefits and a positive, professional work environment. Hours of operation are Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. EST, and Sunday, 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. ET.
