Von Maur Department Store Plans to Open Second Location in Minnesota

140-year-old Retailer Will Anchor Rosedale Center in St. Paul; Move Continues Momentum for Company's National Growth Strategy

DAVENPORT, Iowa, March 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Von Maur Department Store announced plans to open a 140,000-square-foot store at the Rosedale Center in St. Paul, Minn. Scheduled to open Fall 2018, the store will be the Company's second location in Minnesota.

Known for its outstanding selection of brand name and specialty apparel, shoes, accessories and gifts, the store will feature products from leading brands such as Toms, Kate Spade, Alex & Ani, Hunter, Vineyard Vines, and Peter Millar, among many others.

Beginning in Spring 2017, new construction of the two-level Von Maur store will feature the Company's signature exterior brick façade, which includes arching entryways accented by copper cupolas. Inside, open expansive floor plans will accentuate Von Maur's residential ambiance, complete with antiques, original artwork and music from the store's grand piano. Additionally, a parking deck around the store will be constructed to accommodate an increase in shoppers. It is expected that the store will eventually employ 200 associates – the majority of which will be full-time.

Today's announcement also continues to build upon the family-owned Company's targeted national growth strategy, which includes plans to open its third location in Georgia this Fall, along with its first location in Wisconsin in Spring 2017.
