HOUSTON, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Vortex Companies (Vortex), a leading provider of trenchless water and sewer infrastructure rehabilitation solutions, today announced the acquisition of CLH & Son, Inc. (CLH), an Auburn, Maine-based infrastructure contractor specializing in sliplining, concrete rehabilitation, excavation, drainage improvements and related utility services.
"We're seeing growing demand across the Northeast and continuing to expand our ability to serve that market," said Mike Vellano, Chief Executive Officer of Vortex Companies. "CLH brings proven execution and complementary capabilities that strengthen our ability to self-perform a broader range of rehabilitation projects and deliver more for customers across the region."
Founded in 1979 by Calvin Hunter and now led by Travis Stearns, CLH has built a strong reputation serving municipalities, state departments of transportation, utilities and contractors throughout New England.
