VoterGuru Now Helps Users Determine Who to Vote for in their Congressional District

NEW YORK, Nov. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- With dissatisfaction at the top of the ticket trickling to down ballot races, control of both chambers of Congress is at stake this election. This November, voters will impact the future of the country. With the future of the country in the balance, VoterGuru, a New York-based tech start up that helps users understand who to vote for in the election, today announces the expansion of its platform to include U.S House Congressional candidates.

In addition to candidate match-making, VoterGuru will allows users to research House Congressional candidates running for office, learn about their background, see where they stand on the issues, and connect with them on social platforms.

Through VoterGuru, users are now able to identify the Presidential, U.S Senate and House Congressional candidates with whom they most closely align. Politically curious users can also discover how their views stack up against U.S Senate and House candidates in races outside their state and district.

VoterGuru is a platform that helps users understand the political candidate they should vote for. Users take a quick quiz indicating their views, and through the VoterGuru algorithm, they are able to understand which candidate they most align with and why.

VoterGuru tracks voting records and public statements of political candidates, and compares user inputs with politician records to find the closest ideological match. In addition to matching users with candidates, VoterGuru educates users on political topics by explaining the ideological spectrum, from "very liberal" to "very conservative," on specific issues, ranging from abortion laws, to education policy, to privacy and more.
