The 2012 World Final of the Volvo World Golf Challenge was this year contested at the beautiful Zimbali Country Club in South Africa. Alongside the ever-changing weather the course, which offers a mixture of stunning ocean and forest views, provided the scene for a thrilling competition.
The official scoring for this year's event was provided by VPAR Live Golf Scoring. The final day saw yet more strong winds and rain returning to the coastline course. If anyone is equipped to handle such conditions, it is the British and as the final drew to a close, three of the leading four players were representing Britain. Peter Jones, Mark O'Shaughnessy and Colin Ledwith were all within touching distance of the trophy.
As the leaders progressed a crowd had gathered in the Volvo Lounge, glued to the VPAR Live Leaderboard, a winner was needed. As the last group was walking down the final fairway, all the supporters watching knew that Peter Jones had won and a huge roar erupted.
