
VRN Veterinarian Recommended Nutriceuticals® appoints Steve Mehler, DVM, DACVS as Chief Medical Officer
VRN launches its first clinically-proven nutriceutical for joint and skin health in canines
PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa., July 31, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- VRN Veterinarian Recommended Nutriceuticals®, maker of premier clinically-proven nutriceuticals, has announced the appointment of Steve Mehler DVM, DACVS to the position of Chief Medical Officer.

Dr. Steve Mehler received his DVM degree from the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. He completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery, as well as a residency in small animal surgery, at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. He was an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Michigan State University and split his time between soft tissue surgery and interventional radiology. Dr. Mehler has also practiced and taught surgery at the University of California, Davis, and more recently, at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. He is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. In addition, Dr. Mehler is an internationally recognized author and speaker and has published in many peer-reviewed journals and textbooks on surgical diseases of dogs and cats.
