Julie Briggs to assume role August 1
HOPE HULL, Ala., July 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- VT Miltope, a company of VT Systems, Inc. (VT Systems), today announced the retirement of its president and CEO, Brigadier General (USA Retired) Thomas R. Dickinson, effective July 31, 2011. Dickinson began his career with VT Miltope in 1998 as the chief operating officer and was promoted to president and CEO in January 1999. The board of directors has named Julie A. Briggs, currently vice president of rugged systems program development, to be the next president and CEO.
A smooth transition is expected with no disruptions to operations as Briggs is well acquainted with the defense electronics industry having begun her career with GE Automated Systems (formerly RCA). She joined VT Miltope in 2002 and has been a major force behind the growth in rugged computer systems orders, demonstrating a compound annual growth rate of over 15%.
