VUID, Inc. Announces New Partnership with Coded by Kids

Philadelphia-based tech start-up provides first-time opportunity for Coded by Kids' student to put developer skills to use in workplace

PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- VUID, Inc., a full-stack technology start-up and creator of the Spotlight app, today announced a new partnership with Coded by Kids that will provide disadvantaged, inner-city children with an opportunity to put their developer skills to use in the workplace.

High school student Da'Jour Nash, a talented front-end developer, is the first student from Coded by Kids to be offered an internship at a professional organization. He will work with the VUID, Inc. team two days per week after school, and focus on building websites and apps.

Coded by Kids is committed to providing disadvantaged inner city children with the technical skills, support and industry exposure necessary to gain access to opportunities in STEM related fields. The organization was also one of ten Philadelphia nonprofits chosen by VUID, Inc. for the latest Spotlight Special Contest, the Give Back Challenge.
