VWR and EPL Open New GxP Archive & Biorepository Facility
RADNOR, Pa., Feb. 8, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- VWR, part of Avantor, and EPL Archives, LLC celebrated the opening of a new 24-acre campus and purpose-built biorepository facility in Leesburg, VA. The first facility opening on this campus offers over 155,000 square feet of new storage capacity, designed to support the full spectrum of EPL professional biorepository services.
EPL provides secure storage and preservation of research and manufacturing material derived from investments in basic research, discovery, non-clinical, clinical, and manufacturing of regulated products.

"It will provide nearly 1.5 million cubic feet of additional secure and environmentally controlled storage capacity, as well as expansive temperature critical environments, to support our customers."
VWR acquired EPL in March 2017 to enhance its VWRCATALYST Services division. EPL, combined with VWR's acquisitions of MESM and Therapak, forms the Clinical and Biorepository Services of VWR. Together, they represent a unique group of experts dedicated to optimizing the progress of clinical operations, offering meticulous care of samples, whole product lifecycle support, and configurable kit manufacturing.
