Highly experienced career professional will head the region's largest hotel asset management portfolio (30 hotels across 12 cities)
Ròya , an international specialist hospitality consultancy firm based in Dubai, announced the appointment of Walid Harouni as Senior Director, Asset Management. In his role, Walid will oversee the company's Hotel Asset Management discipline - by far the largest in the region.

About Walid Harouni
Mr. Harouni is a multi-lingual, multi-disciplinary international career hospitality professional who earned his BA in Hospitality in 1984 from L'École Hôtelière de Strasbourg and commenced his career as a management trainee at the InterContinental Hotel in Riyadh. Attending a two year Master's Degree program in Hotel & Restaurant Administration from the Institut de Management Hôtelier International (Cornell University/ESSEC Business School Joint Programme, Paris Campus) he graduated in 1989.
He then joined Le Meridien Hotels (F&B department, Paris). Leaving for the InterContinental Hotel group, he steadily rose in various MEA properties (Oman, Cote d'Ivoire, Saudi Arabia and the UAE) to become a general manager.
After a fourteen year career in operations, he took on a different challenge joining the Abu Dhabi based National Corporation for Tourism and Hotels in 2007. In his new role, he oversaw all aspects of the group's hotel division and managed the rapid growth and evolution of the Danat Hotels and Resorts chain while asset managing various signature properties in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
