Walter Elliot Appointed as Vice President and Labor Liaison at BMO Taft-Hartley Services
CHICAGO, Aug. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- BMO Global Asset Management today announced the appointment of Walter Elliot as Vice President and Labor Liaison at BMO Taft-Hartley Services.
In his new role, Mr. Elliot will be responsible for developing new relationships in BMO Taft-Hartley Services' California and West Coast regions, as well as focus on key opportunities on the East Coast and in association with the Service Employees International Union nationally. He is based in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Prior to joining BMO Taft-Hartley Services, Mr. Elliot spent two decades as Treasurer and Business Manager for the Bartenders Local #165 Union and the Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees International Union Welfare (H.E.R.E.I.U.). He has also served as Vice President of the Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees Union, Trustee and Rotating Chairman of the Southern Nevada Culinary and Bartenders Pension Trust, Trustee of Hotel Employee (National Health and Welfare Plan), Trustee of the Southern Nevada Hotel Training Program and President of the AFL-CIO. Just prior to joining the BMO team, Mr. Elliot served as Trustee and Rotating Chairman for management with three significant Trust Funds in the Southwest.
Mr. Elliot has been a member of the Nevada Supreme Court Chief Justice Rose Judiciary Committee, the Executive Board Council for Institutional Investors, and the Massachusetts Financial Services Labor Advisory Board. He is a member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, on whose Board of Directors he served for 14 years.
