Wards Intelligence Brings Auto Industry Expert Doug Newcomb Onboard To Lead Mobility Practice
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Oct. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Wards Intelligence (WI) www.wardsintelligence.com today announced it has hired connected car and smart mobility expert Doug Newcomb as a senior analyst to lead WI's mobility practice.
Newcomb joins WI from C3 Group, LLC, a West Coast mobility and events consulting firm, headquartered in the Portland, Ore. area, where he has served as president since 2013. Prior to launching C3 Group, Newcomb served as senior editor, technology, at Edmunds.com.

Newcomb began his career in 1988 as editor of Mobile Electronics and has since become a respected expert on connected car and mobility. His writings and opinions have been included in a myriad trade and business media, including USA Today, Reuters, Los Angeles Times, Wired and most major TV networks, among other outlets. In 2013, he co-founded the Connected Car Conference (C3) at CE Week in New York and co-produced the Connected Car Expo at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
