Warriors Spend Quality Time with Daughters at Wounded Warrior Project Event
SAN DIEGO, Nov. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Wounded warriors and their daughters bonded and spent quality time together at Seagrove Park in Del Mar at a Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) event.
The warriors and their daughters worked on crafts, created journals to record "words of wisdom," and made key chains. Dads also got to practice braiding their daughters' hair.
"I have attended other Wounded Warrior Project family events, and have brought my wife and daughter along," said Hector Perez, a Marine Corps veteran.
"This event in particular was special because it was just dad and daughter time," Hector said. "My daughter called it 'special time with just daddy,' so she felt very special because it was all about us. I think a father-and-daughter bond at a young age is needed, and it was awesome to see how happy she was."
Navy veteran Brandon Norris said he had attended other WWP events on his own. "This time I enjoyed spending time with my daughter," Brandon said.
Warriors and their daughters worked together with the beautiful backdrop of the Pacific Ocean behind them, creating beautiful memories and meeting other dads and daughters.
