WASHINGTON, April 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Washington REIT (Washington Real Estate Investment Trust – NYSE: WRE) today announced the pricing of an underwritten public offering of 4,625,000 common shares, which was upsized from the previously announced 4,000,000 common shares, at a public offering price of $28.20 per share, for gross proceeds of approximately $130.4 million. Washington REIT has also granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to 693,750 additional common shares.
Washington REIT intends to use the net proceeds from the offering initially to repay borrowings outstanding under its revolving credit facility and subsequently to fund its announced acquisition and for other general corporate purposes.
