WAUWATOSA, Wis., Dec. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- WaterStone Bank is pleased to announce the WaterStone Bank Foundation has donated more than $700,000 to over 200 nonprofit organizations in 2017.
The bank strives to give back to the communities it serves through a variety of grants that support their four main areas of giving: education, women and children, community development and veterans initiatives.
The nonprofit organizations use the grants to fund a range of programs including financial literacy, rehousing facilities, events that engage and celebrate our communities, services for veterans, the health and well-being of children, inclusion of peoples with intellectual and developmental disabilities, parks and recreation, intergenerational care, and more.
"Our employees continue to reach out to nonprofit organizations in the interest of helping to promote, champion, and financially support causes that support the communities we serve," said Doug Gordon, president and CEO of WaterStone Bank.
