Waterton Named One of Crain's 2019 Best Places to Work in Chicago

CHICAGO, March 12, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Waterton, a Chicago-based real estate investor and operator, is pleased to announce that it has been named one of the 2019 Best Places to Work in Chicago. As part of the annual ranking, Crain's Chicago Business partnered with Best Companies Group to identify companies in Chicago that have excelled in creating quality workplaces for employees.

Determining the Best Places to Work in Chicago involved a two-step process. The first step, worth approximately 25 percent of the total evaluation, consisted of evaluating each participating company's workplace policies, practices, and demographics. The second part consisted of employee surveys aimed at assessing the experiences and attitudes of individual employees with respect to their workplace. This part of the process was worth approximately 75 percent of the total evaluation.

"We are honored to be recognized by Crain's Best Places to Work for our company culture and associate experience.  Our management approach, supported by numerous programs, allows our team to grow professionally and also pursue their philanthropic and social interests with our support" said David Schwartz, CEO and co-founder of Waterton. "With 75 percent of this ranking coming directly from the employee survey, we are especially proud to see this level of employee satisfaction across the company."

Waterton distinguishes itself with its commitment to a positive and productive corporate culture with such initiatives as The Waterton Way, a code of conduct and road map that sets corporate expectations and behavior standards; its operational philosophy, Resitality^®, which combines best practices from multifamily and hospitality services to improve the resident as well as the associate experience and a significant commitment to community involvement with its philanthropic committee, Aligned@Waterton.

This survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best companies to work for in Chicago. The list is made up of 100 companies. The full Best Places to Work in Chicago list will be featured in the April 15th issue of Crain's Chicago Business and is available online at www.chicagobusiness.com.
