Watson Selected as Washington's Greenest Manufacturer

POULSBO, Wash., Sept. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Watson (www.watsonfurniture.com) was named the Top Green Manufacturer in Washington by Seattle Business magazine. The announcement came at Seattle Business' Green 50 awards, held on September 21, 2011 at the Fremont Studios in Seattle.

Clif McKenzie, Watson CEO, accepted the award on behalf of the company saying, "We have one environmental guiding principle: we are going to do what we can do to return this world in a better condition than we found it. It is a simple one that all of our kids know; it's a simple one that I think our parents would be proud of."

Watson was honored for its demonstrated commitment to sustainable manufacturing processes and products including: design and maintenance of a manufacturing facility that has no floor drains, self contained and regulated disposal of waste water, use of regionally sourced materials that contain high recycled content, and manufacturing products that are end-of-use recyclable - some as high as 100%.
