WattStopper Releases Next Generation Power Packs

SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- WattStopper today introduced its BZ-200 and BZ-250 lighting and plug load power packs that come with features for increased performance, reliability and functionality. The new power packs are designed with installation-friendly form factor including a unique Load On/Off button that allows contractors to activate lighting or plug load immediately following installation.

Offering unparalleled flexibility, the BZ-250 with Flex Control includes voltage detection circuit technology and features for advanced sequences of operation. Its mechanically held latching relay with selectable power loss operation can be set to on, off or last state just prior to a power failure, so that lighting is in the preferred state when power is restored. It also enables Auto-On or Manual-On operation for code compliance. Hold-On and Hold-Off inputs integrate with BAS, lighting control panels and other building systems.

The BZ-200 series power packs are ideal for control of lighting, plug loads and motor loads in spaces that benefit from occupancy-based control including commercial offices, classrooms and conference rooms.

Additional BZ-200 and BZ-250 features include:

• UL listings (UL 244A & UL 508) to control plug and lighting loads to meet code requirements
• Tested to NEMA 410 for E-ballast and LED driver inrush current
• Improved short circuit and thermal protection to prevent catastrophic failure
• 12AWG line voltage leads match 20A rated building wiring and 20 Amp rating for lighting and plug loads at 120-277VAC
• LED load status indicator
