Wavefront Announces Appointment of New CEO
Actuate Corporation former CEO Pete Cittadini to focus on market expansion
PALO ALTO, Calif., April 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Wavefront, the world's most powerful real-time data analytics platform, today announced the appointment of Pete Cittadini as CEO. Cittadini brings 30 years of experience as an enterprise software executive, including two decades heading Actuate Corporation, a leading data analytics provider. He replaces interim CEO and co-founder Sam Pullara, who will return to his role as managing director of Sutter Hill Ventures.

Cittadini spent 20 years as president and CEO of Actuate, a San Mateo-based firm offering powerful open-source data analytics and visualization software. He joined Actuate when it was a young startup in 1995 and took it public three years later. The firm founded BIRT, an open-source technology platform serving more than 3.5 million developers building customer-facing applications. In January 2015, he oversaw the sale of Actuate to Ontario-based OpenText for $330 million.
Before joining Actuate, Cittadini was Senior Vice President of Worldwide Operations at Interleaf, a software firm focused on integrated document management. He previously spent six years as Vice President, Northeast Division, at Oracle Corp. He holds a B.A. in liberal arts from Boston College.
