Wealth-X Ranks Top 5 Latin American Countries with Ultra Wealthy Populations

This report highlights the expanding population of Latin American individuals who are ultra high net worth, or worth more than US$ 30 million.

After completing analysis of a variety of sources, including its own proprietary database of global UHNW individuals, Wealth-X estimates that there are 15,125 Latin American UHNW individuals worth a combined US$ 2.3 trillion. Wealth-X estimates account for shares in public and private companies, residential and investment properties, art collections, planes, cash and other investible assets.

Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and Peru are listed as the top five UHNW countries in Latin America; the combined fortunes of the ultra high net worth populations in these countries is approximately US$ 1.8 trillion. Notably, Brazil comes in first; about 31% of all UHNW Latin Americans are Brazilian, with a combined net worth of US$ 890 billion.
