WebMD Health Services Awarded Full Health Website Accreditation from URAC

PORTLAND, Ore., Sept. 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- WebMD Health Services, which provides customizable wellness programs for employers and health plans, has achieved unanimous Health Web Site 3.0 Accreditation from URAC, an independent, non-profit health care accrediting organization dedicated to promoting health care quality through accreditation, education, and measurement. WebMD Health Services is a subsidiary of WebMD.

WebMD Health Services' online platform received scores of 100% in each of the categories that URAC evaluates, and as a result, received full URAC accreditation, effective through July 1, 2018. WebMD Health Services' wellness programs are only available to employees of the company's employer and health plan customer participants. Separately, WebMD.com, the company's public website, also received full URAC accreditation.

The URAC accreditation process demonstrates a commitment to quality services and serves as a framework to improve business processes through benchmarking organizations against nationally recognized standards.
