WebMD Health Services Receives NCQA Disease Management Accreditation
Provides Solutions for Health Plans seeking NCQA Compliance for Member Connection standards
NEW YORK, March 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- WebMD Health Services announced it recently received Patient-Oriented Disease Management Accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for its disease management programs for asthma, coronary artery disease, heart failure, COPD and diabetes.

On July 1, 2015, new NCQA Health Plan requirements become effective. The new requirements will focus on NCQA Member Connection Standards for Health Plans, (MEM Standards) and requires health plans to be compliant for all product lines, including Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid and Marketplace (Exchange) products.
WebMD Health Services tools are accredited for MEM 1 (Health Risk Appraisals), MEM 2 (Self-Management Tools), and MEM 8 (Healthy Living), so a health plan that partners with WebMD Health Services can receive NCQA auto-credit for those standards.
