Launched on June 1, the program—branded "Be Bright"—provides instant rebates toward the purchase of high-efficiency ENERGY STAR® CFL and LED light bulbs at select retail stores throughout Freeborn and Mower Counties.
Three Albert Lea retailers currently participate in the program: Walmart (1550 Blake Ave.), Home Depot (2400 Consul St.), and Ace Hardware (2525 Bridge Ave.). Cooperative members can visit fmcs.coop for eligible products and rebate amounts.
