WeiserMazars LLP Announces the Acquisition of LECG Business Units

NEW YORK, March 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- WeiserMazars LLP today announced it has acquired certain business units from LECG Corporation including the commercial and insurance audit, and business consulting professionals. This acquisition will strengthen and expand the breadth of services offered to the Pennsylvania marketplace and, with the opening of a Chicago office, establish a Midwest presence for WeiserMazars LLP. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

As a result of the transaction, Brian Clouse, Joe Colgan, Diane Franzoni and Jeffrey Palmer join WeiserMazars as partners, along with approximately 30 professionals in the Pennsylvania office, and David McRoberts joins as a partner along with 10 professionals in Chicago, growing the firm's ability to offer dedicated specialty resources to clients within an expanded geographic region.
