Well Insight from SPOC Automation gives engineers an unprecedented look into well production

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., April 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- SPOC Automation released Well Insight, a SCADA package designed to perform remote monitoring, historical data acquisition and control of artificial lift equipment and other oil and gas field applications. Well Insight uses 3G/4G cellular or satellite based data connectivity at the well. It provides full access to well conditions and production information from any Internet connection, including mobile devices.

One unique feature of Well Insight is the amount of production data it can trend for one well or across an entire field. It will trend historical data from current time back to the moment the well was connected to Well Insight. Additionally, you can view data on a sliding scale from seconds to up to five years at a time, simply using a drop down menu.

You can monitor your wells, adding notes to mark significant events or to note changes in well equipment, control settings and more. Notes are stored chronologically, so you can more easily understand the effects that control changes have on production. Notes show up in trend cycles so you can see what has happened since you last made a change. Any note you add to the system appears in all trend reports.

Well Insight also allows users to set conditional alerts on well data. When conditions in the well trigger an alarm, Well Insight sends text and email messages. Alarms are date and time stamped, and because notes are stored in chronological order, it gives users a record of alarms, changes and the results that followed.

Well Insight's polling feature lets you know instantly how up to date your data is and how much time has elapsed since you last polled. You can select, print and send reports through email. Well Insight gives you two ways to access your data: a visual map view or in a spreadsheet format.
