Wellington Equestrian Preservation Alliance Congratulates Winners of Wellington's March 13th City Council Election ... Finally
WELLINGTON, Fla., March 31, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Wellington Equestrian Preservation Alliance joins the voters of Wellington in congratulating Bob Margolis, John Greene and Matt Willhite in their official election to the Wellington Village Council.
"We thank Palm Beach County Elections Supervisor, Susan Bucher, for confirming the final voting numbers and true winners of the election. The voice of the Wellington residents has finally been heard," said Mat Forrest, Executive Director for the Wellington Equestrian Preservation Alliance. "We are thrilled that after many delays, the Village of Wellington can now move forward."
After a complete manual recount of all the ballots, the Wellington Canvassing Board officially certified the winners of the March 13th election. There should be no more legal challenges or guessing as to who the voters elected. Wellington residents soundly voiced their support for preservation issues including opposition to the massive commercial development in the Wellington Preserve.
The Wellington Equestrian Preservation Alliance is group of concerned citizens fighting to enhance Wellington Florida's trademark Equestrian business and protect the local equestrian economy from over-development, rampant real estate speculation and shortsighted economic planning. www.wellingtonalliance.com
