Wells Net Lease Group Announces VP to Head Westward Expansion

NAPLES, Fla., July 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Wells Net Lease Group (WNL), a commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in net lease properties, has named Harjot Gill Vice President of Investments and has put him in charge of the company's West coast operations.

"We do things in a new and exciting way. A company is defined by its people and it's hard to find talent untainted by the old ways of  the industry," said David Wells, CEO. "Harjot is exactly what clients want. He's independent, creative, no ego, and knows that the client is number one. The view's always changing up front and he can adapt on the fly and deliver for our clientele."

Mr. Gill has established himself as one of the leaders in the net lease world and was one of the top recruited executives in the industry. Mr. Gill has built a solid client list and has graduated to working exclusively on single tenant net leased deals with national credit tenants.

Mr. Gill is a native of Salt Lake City and a 10 year industry veteran. He started his career working for one of the largest private net leased property owners in the Western U.S. Early on, he was put in charge of all aspects of acquisitions, dispositions, handled site selection, due diligence and market research. "It was basically sink or swim, but I pushed through. It was a wonderful experience being exposed to so many levels early on," says Mr. Gill.

Transitioning into brokerage was the next logical step. "I love making deals and being out there every day with buyers and sellers. It puts you right on the pulse of the market, creating an exciting challenge.  You have to exercise tremendous creativity in crafting solutions to clients' ever changing needs in today's dynamic market," says Mr. Gill.

"I am excited to join WNL. David has created the first truly transparent marketing platform. We are including all market participants to create the best value for our clients by marketing directly to every major firm and investor. When David called me about taking over the West Coast region, I was hesitant at first. I'm independent and used to running my own business. I've heard the same old pitch from many large companies, but after the first talk we realized we clicked on a lot of levels. We both share the same vision as to where the industry is moving: away from the old model that hasn't changed in 100 years. I wanted to be part of the revolution in the business."

"Our company is different, we don't hire just anyone and tell them to go make phone calls.  We only hire the best and the brightest people who share our belief that there's a better way to do this business. We aren't afraid to challenge the huge brokerage companies who are out for themselves. Harjot is someone who I have complete faith in; his judgment and expertise is already making a huge impact," says Mr. Wells.

This year WNL has become the largest private net lease brokerage company in the country. They have completed over 60 transactions and have over $200,000,000 of net lease property listings.  WNL is based out of Naples, Florida.

"We do things differently from other firms. We include our competition, brokers and investors, creating the largest market and most competition for our clients. This does not necessarily generate the largest short term profits for us, but I believe by doing things the right in the long term everyone wins," said Mr. Wells.
