Manhattan Skyline's Upper West Side Rental Residences Enjoy New Amenity Spaces
NEW YORK, May 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Manhattan Skyline's West River House, one of the few rental residences on sought-after West End Avenue, has undergone significant renovations to its penthouse floor. A refinished lounge and an added selection of lifestyle amenities, including a children's playroom, multi-purpose room and gym, all designed by renowned Dattner Architects are among the additions.
"These spaces are amazing," said Laurie Zucker, Vice Chair at Manhattan Skyline. "The children's playroom and multi-purpose room are being used constantly by happy tenants and their families. We wanted to create the best children's playroom in Manhattan and I think we have. Manhattan Skyline is dedicated to providing its residents with exceptional living spaces and premium services."
Overlooking Upper Manhattan with panoramic views of the Hudson River and cityscapes, West River House's penthouse lounge was re-designed to include flat screen TVs, stunning tables, chairs and sofas, and porcelain tile floors. Technology has been upgraded, with a new iPad system that has been installed to control the televisions and sound-system. The lounge opens up to an expansive outdoor terrace with patio furniture, planted trees and flowers.
Astronauts, planets, stars and a glow-in-the-dark moon decorate the spacious children's playroom with an outer space theme. A flat screen TV and Mac computers are programmed to accommodate young children of various ages. The playroom is connected to the building's newly-designed multi-purpose room by a wall of sliding doors, which can be opened to join the two spaces.
The multi-purpose room includes a sitting area with a large flat screen TV, a ping pong table and a corner kitchen stocked with brand new appliances. Additionally, the top-floor gym has been redesigned to incorporate all new Technogym exercise equipment. The equipment includes a variety of cardio machines with LCD screens that offer cable television and electronic device connectivity, free weights, and strength training machines. Views from the gym overlook the Hudson River and the surrounding city skyline.
Located at 424 West End Avenue at 81st Street, West River House offers spacious rental residences ranging in size from one- to convertible three- bedrooms. Many of the building's homes feature windowed eat-in-kitchens, large picture windows, terraces and balconies to take full advantage of the river and city views. Some residences feature wood-burning fireplaces. Top floor apartments feature 10-foot high ceilings.
