OGDEN, Utah, Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Western Pavement Services ("WPS"), a leading provider of asphalt paving and pavement maintenance services across the western United States, today announced the closing of its partnership with Andersen Asphalt, a Utah-based pavement maintenance contractor known for high-quality slurry seal, sealcoat, asphalt surface treatments (AP4), and striping work. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 2000 and headquartered in West Haven, Utah, Andersen Asphalt has spent more than 25 years building one of the most respected pavement maintenance operations in the state. The company serves customers across Northern Utah, with a client roster that spans municipalities, school districts and universities, industrial employers, property managers, HOAs, and homeowners.
Andersen Asphalt joins the WPS family of companies alongside Roadrunner Paving & Asphalt Maintenance, Post Asphalt, Bates Paving, and Black Forest Paving. Andersen Asphalt will continue to operate under its own name and brand, led by President Derek Andersen and Vice President Caden Andersen, both of whom will retain significant ownership in Western Pavement Services.
The partnership is highly complementary to WPS's existing Utah footprint. Post Asphalt and Black Forest Paving have built long-standing reputations along the Wasatch Front for asphalt paving, reconstruction, and repair. Andersen Asphalt adds the preservation and maintenance side of the pavement lifecycle, including slurry seal, sealcoating, asphalt surface treatment (AP4), crack seal, mastic, and striping. Together, the three companies allow WPS to serve Utah property owners through the full lifecycle of their asphalt.
