Westwood College Opens Campus In Aurora

AURORA, Colo., Feb. 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Westwood College has opened a new campus near the Town Center at Aurora. The 34,000-square-foot facility offers programs in technology, healthcare, business, design and justice. To celebrate the opening, campus president Dan Snyder delivered the keynote address and was joined by Aurora Mayor Pro Tem Debi Hunter Holen, President of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce Kevin Hougen, and leaders from area businesses such as Kaiser Permanente, TCF Bank, New Cloud Networks, Advance Auto Parts, Sterling Healthcare Services, Silver Sky, Level 3 Communications, Comcast, State Farm, Robert Half Financial, Venture Technologies and Nextcare Urgent Care.

The opening event also included campus tours and a reception.

The new location at 350 Blackhawk Street replaces the former Denver South campus and currently serves more than 250 students. It is designed for growth and the college is looking to double the current student population primarily in the high demand areas of healthcare, business and justice. The business community in Aurora also offers strong opportunities for internships and post-graduate employment, and the college is committed to continuing to build these relationships on behalf of its students.
