The recent uprisings in many North African countries, combined with huge gas finds in the East Mediterranean, and issues such as shifting policies on gas exports within countries such as Libya, Algeria, and Egypt have had enormous implications on the European and global gas market. These changes have resulted in commercial organisations across the supply chain, as well as governments in the region, being forced to rethink their strategies for offshore and onshore gas E&P activity.
