AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Whim Hospitality & Camp Lucy to Host A Holiday Design Workshop for All Levels Whim Hospitality, a pioneer in the Texas event services industry, announced the second of its Whim Design Days series, geared towards the Christmas holiday. Whim Holiday Design Days will take place December 5 at Camp Lucy in Dripping Springs, Texas. Participants will enjoy hands-on sessions with experts in food & beverage, floral design, and holiday table décor as well as other special surprises.
The idea for the Design Days series came from CEO Kim Hanks after conversations she had with friends about the desire to explore their creativity. "I kept hearing more and more about people's desire to do something creative, and I saw an opportunity for our Whim Hospitality team of experts to meet that need," said Hanks. "During Holiday Design Days you will get to eat, drink & be merry, all while learning how you can treat your holiday guests to the same hospitality when you get home," said Hanks.
During the daylong event, Floral Manager Rachel Cox will teach attendees how to create a holiday wreath or garland that you can take home. Chef Rob McMahon will discuss how to cook multiple courses with one oven while enjoying a gourmet meal he has prepared. Mixologist Jennifer Wood will share holiday cocktail recipes and Event Designer Barbara Bailey Gaines will demonstrate how you can set your holiday table. In addition to the design skills, attendees will take away, Chef Rob & Jennifer will be preparing holiday inspired menus for a day filled with holiday treats and eats. Participants who want to take full advantage of our hospitality can enjoy a relaxing stay at the Camp Lucy lodging for a special rate.
